BETTER ROUNDS TOGETHER

Community & safety.

Simple rules to help Pairway remain useful, welcoming and trustworthy.

Last updated 20 August 2026

Be genuine

  • Use your real identity and accurate age, location and handicap information.
  • Only post rounds or plans you genuinely intend to arrange.
  • Mark a post “tee time booked” only when it is actually booked.
  • Do not create fake games or accounts to increase completed-round totals.

Be reliable

  • Reply to important game changes promptly.
  • Tell the group as soon as possible if you are late or cannot attend.
  • Hosts should keep course, time, available places and booking status accurate.
  • Confirm a completed round honestly after it has taken place.

Be respectful

  • No harassment, threats, bullying, hate, sexual misconduct or discrimination.
  • No unwanted promotion, repeated messages, impersonation or misleading claims.
  • Respect personal boundaries, golf-club rules and different levels of ability.
  • Do not share another golfer’s private information or messages without a proper reason.

Arrange money safely

Pairway does not take payments. Pay the golf club directly wherever possible. If a host has already paid, agree the exact amount and cancellation position in the private game chat before sending anything. Never post bank or card details publicly, and stop if anyone pressures you to pay unexpectedly or through an unusual method.

Meet safely

  • Meet at the golf club or another suitable public venue.
  • Tell someone where you are going when meeting a new golfer.
  • Use Pairway game chat until you are comfortable sharing other contact details.
  • Trust your instincts and leave if something feels unsafe.

Report and block

Use “Report or block golfer” on a profile, game or chat when something concerns you. Choose “Urgent safety concern” only for a serious or immediate safety concern. Blocking prevents further Pairway interaction between those accounts. Reports are private and reviewed by Pairway; the reported golfer is not told who made the report.

For immediate danger call 999. For a non-emergency crime contact the police on 101. Pairway reporting is not an emergency service.

What happens after a breach?

Pairway may preserve a limited protected evidence snapshot, issue a private warning, remove content, restrict features, suspend or close an account, and preserve or share information where required by law or necessary to protect someone. Decisions take account of seriousness, evidence, repetition and immediate risk. If an action applies to your account, you can request a private review at privacy@pairwaygolf.co.uk.
