PLAY FAIR

Terms of use.

These terms set the ground rules for using Pairway to find golfers and arrange rounds.

Last updated 20 August 2026

1. About Pairway

Pairway is a platform for adults to find local golfers, advertise spaces, plan rounds and communicate with accepted players. Pairway is not a golf club, tee-time booking agent, payment provider or organiser of the round itself.

2. Who may use Pairway

You must be at least 18, provide accurate account information and be legally able to agree to these terms. During early access, accounts are limited to people approved by Pairway.

3. Accounts and profiles

Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you believe your account has been misused. Your name, handicap, broad location, home club, game posts and confirmed-round count may be visible to other approved golfers. Your email address and exact location are not shown to other golfers.

4. Game and planning posts

Every post must accurately use one of these statuses:

  • Tee time booked: the host confirms that the stated tee time has been booked and there are spaces available.
  • Finding golfers before booking: no tee time has been booked yet and the details remain a proposal until the players agree them.

Hosts must not knowingly post false, unavailable or duplicate games. Joining a Pairway game does not itself create a booking with the golf club.

5. Tee fees and payments

Pairway does not take, hold or process green fees. Golfers are responsible for agreeing the price, payment method, booking and cancellation position with the golf club or host. Paying the golf club directly is safest. Do not put bank or card details in a public profile or game post, and do not send money if you are unsure who will receive it or what happens if the round is cancelled.

Pairway is not responsible for refunds, chargebacks, booking errors or payment disputes arranged outside the platform.

6. Changes, cancellations and reliability

Tell accepted players promptly if a game changes or is cancelled. Players should respond to important changes and leave a game promptly if they can no longer attend. Confirmed-round history is intended to show genuine Pairway participation and must not be manipulated using fake accounts or games.

7. Acceptable behaviour

Follow the Community & Safety Guidelines. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate, defraud or spam another person, or use Pairway for unlawful activity. Do not post personal information about another person without permission.

8. Reports and account action

You can report or block another golfer. Pairway may preserve a limited protected snapshot of relevant account, game, request or message information; issue a private warning; restrict features; suspend or close accounts; or contact appropriate authorities where reasonably necessary for safety or legal compliance. We will consider the circumstances and may ask for more information. Affected users may request a private review at privacy@pairwaygolf.co.uk.

9. Meeting and playing safely

Decide for yourself whether to join a round. Meet at the golf club or another appropriate public venue, tell someone where you are going and follow the club’s rules. In an emergency or where anyone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services rather than relying on Pairway reporting.

10. Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep Pairway accurate and available but cannot promise uninterrupted access or guarantee another golfer’s identity, conduct, attendance, handicap, booking or payment. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

11. Closing an account

You may ask us to close your account. Pairway may restrict or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, creates a safety risk or exposes the service to legal or technical harm.

12. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in the part of the UK where you live may also have rights to hear a consumer dispute. For questions about these Terms, legal or privacy matters, or to request account closure, email privacy@pairwaygolf.co.uk.
