Privacy notice.

This notice explains what Pairway collects, why we use it and the choices you have.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Pairway Golf (“Pairway”, “we”, “us”) is currently operated in the United Kingdom by Nathan Doherty-Marrinan trading as Pairway Golf. Pairway is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

2. Information we collect

  • Waiting-list information: first name, email address, home town or postcode, optional home course, playing availability, interests, how you heard about Pairway and marketing choice.
  • Account and profile information: email address, name, age, handicap, broad location, optional home club and profile information.
  • Game activity: games you host or request to join, accepted players, changes, cancellations, confirmations and completed-round history.
  • Messages and safety information: game-chat messages, blocks, reports, a limited protected snapshot of relevant game, request or message content, and private safety-review records.
  • Safety and enforcement records: private review notes, action history, warnings, restrictions, suspensions and delivery records connected with keeping Pairway safe.
  • Location and technical information: approximate search location, device/browser information, essential sign-in cookies and basic security or error logs. When you choose current location, your exact device coordinates are used for that search and are not saved to your Pairway profile or shown to other golfers.
  • Email delivery information: whether an important service email was sent and the delivery reference supplied by our email provider.

Pairway does not collect or hold tee-time payments, card details or bank details.

4. Who we use to provide Pairway

We use trusted service providers to operate Pairway, including Supabase for account authentication, Cloudflare for website hosting and product-data storage, Resend for service and consented marketing emails, and OpenStreetMap-powered place information for location searches. They may process information only to provide those services under their own contractual and security controls.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on recognised safeguards such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections. We do not sell personal information.

5. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose collected:

  • Waiting-list entries are reviewed when early access opens and removed when no longer needed for launch, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.
  • Account, game and chat information is kept while your account is active and afterwards only where reasonably necessary for safety, dispute handling or legal obligations.
  • Safety reports, protected evidence snapshots and the append-only history of review or enforcement actions are kept for as long as needed to investigate the issue, protect users and meet legal duties, then reviewed for deletion.
  • Technical and email-delivery records are kept for the shortest practical period needed for security and troubleshooting.

Where deletion would affect another golfer’s safety record or an ongoing legal issue, we may restrict the information instead of deleting it immediately.

6. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask us for a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive information you provided in a portable format. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time without affecting previous lawful use.

Email privacy@pairwaygolf.co.uk. We may need to verify that the request belongs to you. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

7. Cookies

Pairway uses essential cookies to keep approved testers signed in and protect account sessions. These are necessary for the service to work. Pairway currently does not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural tracking. If that changes, we will update this notice and introduce consent controls where required.

8. Age and safety

Pairway is for adults aged 18 or over. We ask for age during profile setup and do not knowingly allow children to create player profiles.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as Pairway develops. Material changes will be shown on the website or sent to registered users where appropriate.
